A SPUR Briefing: The Economic Benefits of SF Parks on January 14     

San Francisco's parks have been highly treasured since the gold rush, serving as jewels in the urban fabric. The Trust for Public Land and San Francisco Parks Alliance recently completed a study highlighting the systems' economic benefits, including impacts on property value, tourism, health, community cohesion, clean water and clean air. Learn how San Francisco's parks continue to generate irreplaceable benefits, both qualitative and quantitative, for the city.

2015 Camp Mather Lottery Registration Season is Now Open  

The 2015 Camp Mather Lottery Registration season is now open through February 6.  Log ontosfreconline.org and use course bar code 39462.  Lottery results will be mailed out in mid-March.

Inclusion Week includes trained staff and staff fluent in ASL to help facilitate participation of family members who have disabilities or are Deaf/hard of hearing. Our Inclusion Staff will provide specialized activities as well. We invite you to register for any week of camp but Inclusion Week activities and inclusiveness benefit all families and offer opportunities for everyone to make new friends.  When registering, you will have an opportunity to indicate if you have a family member who has a disability, or who is Deaf/hard of hearing.  If you receive a reservation, we'll contact you with more information.
Summer Workreation Application Period for Teens, Ages 14-17     
Teens, ages 14-17, make plans for next summer and apply for our popular summer Workreation program. Gain valuable work experience, make some money, and have a blast doing it.  The application period for 9910 Public Service Trainee positions is open now through January 16, 2015. Online applications are accepted only, and are available at www.jobaps.com/sf under the 9910 Public Service Trainee heading for the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department.  For more information, call (415) 831-2785.
Candlestick Memorabilia on Sale Now at AT&T Park   

The San Francisco Recreation and Park Department has teamed with the World Series Champion San Francisco Giants on From the Clubhouse, the Giants' official source for game-used and autographed memorabilia. From the Clubhouse will be selling Candlestick Park artifacts authenticated by MLB. From the Clubhouse will be selling seatbacks, section signs and other assorted signage from Candlestick Park.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of Candlestick memorabilia will benefit San Francisco Recreation and Park's Youth Scholarship Fund, which ensures that everyone has the opportunity to get out and play.

From the Clubhouse is located at 2nd and King at AT&T Park and is open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. daily. Please call(415) 972-2212 for more information.

Volunteer for the 2015 World Golf Championship-Cadillac Match Play at TPC Harding 
The 2015 World Golf Championships - Cadillac Match Play is looking for volunteers!  Enjoy a behind the scenes experience as the top 64 golfers in the world compete head-to-head, April 27 - May 3 at TPC Harding Park.
 
All volunteers will receive:        

- Nike uniform package

- Daily access to tournament grounds when not volunteering
- Weekly grounds ticket for a guest
- Commemorative volunteer pin, and more!

Mobile Rec Comes to West Sunset Playground on January 10     

Come out to West Sunset Playground (Quintara and 41st Avenue) this Saturday, January 10, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., for Mobile Rec,including climbing, slack lining, disc golf, skateboarding and BMX biking.  Free! We provide the safety equipment, you come out and play! (Event subject to cancellation due to rain. Check our website for updates.)
